My new album "Praise" is now available.  I spent a long time collecting and making and putting together these pieces and am indebted to Amy Egerton-Wiley, Greg Hartunian, Greg Gorlen, Jeph Jerman and Raub Roy for their help in making it happen.  Side A: "My Savior" can be heard here and you can order the cassette (bundled with a digital download) from Weird Ear Records.

Travel Photos

This summer I've been very lucky to have done a fair amount of traveling outside the United States.  Here are some photos from my trips to China and Europe with Amy and on tour with Ducktails respectively.

Perspectives Article

The people at Perspectives of New Music just published my essay on Stockhausen and the Catholic church in their latest issue.  It's on jstor and in print, but if anyone out there actually wants to spend a few minutes reading, I'm happy to send it over.

Praise (excerpt)

Excerpt of a 15 minute piece of mangled radio clips, choice sermons and drum machines.  Other things too.  Coming soon, I think.  Cheers.

Routine Symptoms

At long last, my solo record Routine Symptoms is OUT! over the past year I've been gathering and organizing the pieces of this album into something I'm very, very proud of. the sound sources come mostly from the places and people I've been lucky enough to spend time with over the last 365 days and are puzzled together with what proved to be some very time-consuming, often vexing amalgamations on my part. recorded in a bedroom, an airport, at Walden Pond, really all over the fucking country, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude in presenting this to you. hope you enjoy.

In celebration of the birth of Idiopathic Records, our band Coward will play two shows this month: Oct. 20 and 27 in Oakland and LA respectively.  We'll be joined by a handful of excellent acts (including a solo set of mine in LA).  Please come out if you're in the area(s).
